We are currently recruiting for a Signalling & Telecommunication (S&T) Technician to join our Engineering Team within Manchester's iconic Metrolink.
As a S&T Technician, you will support the delivery of the KAM maintenance plan on the S&T equipment of the Metrolink system. You will be hands on, problem solving and carrying out first line maintenance, using fault finding methods and techniques to locate and diagnose faults.

Key accountabilities will include:
* Carry out inspection, testing, repairing and replacement of key systems and equipment
* Use fault finding methods and techniques to locate and diagnose faults
* Interpret information relating to the routine maintenance activities
* carry out repairs and replacement of assets in a safe and effective way which may include the use of plant and machinery and hand tools
What you'll bring:
* Knowledge and understanding on a range of S&T systems and equipment e.g. Transmission and Telecommunication Systems, Radio systems, CCTV
* Minimum of a level 2 ONC or equivalent Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
* Hold a full driving license
* Previous experience of maintenance and faulting support in a large multi disciplined organisation
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
* Excellent communication skills
* Good knowledge of the essential IT systems including the Microsoft applications
* Comfortable working shifts on a 24/7 six weekly roster – covering including days, nights and weekends
* Flexible approach, you can adapt to your situation to get the best results
* Situational Awareness and ability to anticipate risks
* Safety focused with the ability to promote and embed safe working practices and behaviours that align to KAMs values and safety principles.
