The Bishops' Conference of Scotland is seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to support its growing digital communications work. This is a part-time role (24 hours per week) and can be remote, with occasional in-person meetings as required. Working within a small communications team, you will play a key role in producing video content that communicates the life, mission and voice of the Catholic Church in Scotland. Key Responsibilities • Edit high-quality video content for social media, web and digital platforms • Produce both short-form and long-form content, including interviews, features and campaign videos • Support editing for livestream and broadcast outputs • Assist with occasional live broadcasting, which may require travel to events and locations as needed • Add graphics, captions, music and basic motion elements where appropriate • Manage video assets, organise files and maintain an efficient workflow • Work to deadlines and respond to briefs from the Director of Communications Key Skills & Experience • Strong video editing ability with a clear sense of storytelling and pacing • Experience producing content for social media and digital platforms • Confident using editing software to create high-quality outputs • Good understanding of visual style and audience engagement • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Applicants must provide a portfolio of relevant work demonstrating their experience.
