Housekeeping Assistant Housekeeping - Cedar Lodge and The Limes Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.71 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 40 Cedar Lodge Care Home is a well established service in Taunton, Somerset, providing specialist dementia, palliative and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. Set in a peaceful location, the home offers a welcoming, supportive environment with a strong focus on personalised care, dignity and wellbeing across both services. Housekeeping Assistant Contract £12.71 per hour Contracted to 40 hours per week Day shift, 8am–4pm, alternate weekends Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
