As a Head of Service within our People and Transformation Directorate, you will lead five critical teams: Facilities Management, Health and Safety, Security, Reception Services, and Contingency Strategy, driving excellence, compliance and innovation across all areas.

The Role
Reporting into the Assistant Director of People and Transformation, your key responsibilities will include:
· Providing strategic leadership to ensure our corporate spaces are safe and compliant, whilst championing a positive health and safety culture.
· Developing and maintaining robust security strategies and local resilience frameworks aligned with Strategic Mayoral Combined Authority requirements.
· Leading and managing the reception team at Wellington House (our corporate head office building), ensuring the Combined Authority is welcoming, well maintained and compliant.
· Representing the Combined Authority as a senior leader in corporate facilities, and a key member of the People and Transformation team.

About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
· A degree or equivalent relevant work experience within Facilities Management, Health and Safety or Security.
· A member of a recognised professional body, such as IOSH.
· Extensive experience in leading and operating at a senior level in Facilities Management.
· Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of employees, partners, suppliers and stakeholders.
