We’re looking for a talented and personable Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic team at Yate Vets for Pets on a full-time basis.
About us
The practice is run locally by Kate and Keith, supported by a team of 6 vets including specialists in emergency medicine, surgery, imaging, and ultrasound. Our team also comprises 6 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, 5 receptionists, and a practice manager.
We are a family-friendly, supportive, and stable team. We have a history of mentoring graduates, many of whom are still with us after several years. Some team members are also GDP advisors and open to supporting recent graduates.
Our nursing team is actively involved in schedule 3 work, nurse consultations, dentals, and x-rays.
The practice benefits from wider support via Vets for Pets, including two onsite Mental Health First Aiders, ensuring personalized care and well-being for our team.
The role and you
Kate and Keith pride themselves on their supportive environment, offering a bespoke induction and work-life balance. All vets have dedicated breaks and at least an hour of admin time daily. We hold daily afternoon rounds to discuss cases and support each other.
We seek a well-rounded vet experienced in consults and routine surgeries, with standard consultation times of 15 minutes and 30 minutes for complex cases.
This is a full-time role with minimal sole charge, working a 4-day week plus 1 in 5 Saturdays (8:30am-5:00pm).
