A vacancy has arisen for a Mate on our Outer North Isle Services, however you will be required to cover on other routes as required. The Rota for this is 2 weeks on/2 weeks off plus an additional 4 weeks annual leave per complete year served (average of 42 hours per week).

Applicants must hold as minimum:
1. Minimum entry requirement, STCW Reg. II/2 Chief mate near coastal less than GT Consideration will be given to candidates with a higher qualification.
2. GMDSS GOC.
3. Valid ENG1.
4. Updated STCW Personal Survival Techniques.
5. Updated STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Advanced.
6. Updated STCW Advanced Fire Fighting.
7. Updated STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats.
8. Updated STCW Medical first aid.
Ideally candidates should also hold the following, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
9. STCW Crowd Management.
10. STCW Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity.
11. STCW Crisis Management and Human Behaviour.
The successful candidate will be required to adhere to the company’s policies, including the Drug and Alcohol Policy which includes provision for random testing without cause.
Salary: £52, to £55, pa plus DIA £2, subject to qualifications and experience.
The Company operates a contributory pension scheme currently at 15% and a sick pay scheme.
