Ongoing, Full-time commitment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step into a pivotal role as a Youth Justice Team Manager. Based in the vibrant area of Walthamstow, you will be leading operations for the Youth Justice Service in collaboration with other managers and statutory partners, dealing with Out of Court and statutory Court disposals. Initially a 12-week role with potential for extension, this position offers a fulfilling platform for professional growth in a full-time setting.

What you will do:
– Lead and manage the framework for all statutory Court outcomes within Waltham Forest.
– Collaborate with other managers and statutory partners for efficient handling of Out of Court and statutory Court disposals, such as Referral Orders, Youth Rehabilitation Orders, and Custody.
– Work on continuous development, improvement, and performance management for all related disposals.
– Enhance operational management of services to better respond to children and young people’s needs, boosting family resilience and well-being.
– Partner with police, education, social care, and other services to embed systemic, trauma-informed, and child-first practices in partner services.
– Take a holistic approach to the needs of vulnerable children, ensuring top-quality provision across YFRS and in partner provision.
– Manage, develop, and control this professional service area, ensuring service delivery aligns with all council, professional, and legislative requirements.
– Prepare for the HMIP inspection to ensure high standards are maintained.
