As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality servicing, fault-finding, installation, commissioning, and repairs across a variety of industrial and specialist door systems. You will take technical ownership on site, supervise and mentor junior team members where required, and work collaboratively to ensure compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction at every stage of the service process.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical servicing, fault-finding, repairs, and commissioning across industrial and specialist doors
* Lead on-site works and act as the main technical contact for customers
* Supervise, support and mentor apprentices and less experienced engineers
* Carry out detailed site surveys and assist in scoping new installations
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company RAMS
* Conduct safety and quality audits and provide technical feedback
* Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to management
* Support emergency call-outs and out-of-hours work as required
What We’re Looking For
* Time-served electrical apprenticeship or NVQ/BTEC
* 18th Edition BS7671 qualified
* Experience in industrial/specialist door systems
* Strong electrical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings
* Hands-on, solutions-driven approach with excellent communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK and abroad)
Desirable:
* IOSH, ECS Card, Work at Height (IPAF/PASMA), Asbestos Awareness
