Chef – Nursing Home Location: Rugby, UK Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour Hours: Average 36 hours per week (2-week rota) Our client, a well-established nursing home in Rugby, is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join their kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a care-focused environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for elderly residents. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve meals in accordance with our client's menus, tailored to meet residents' individual dietary needs. * Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with regulatory requirements (CQC, Environmental Health). * Collaborate with care staff and the Head Chef to ensure a positive dining experience for residents. * Ensure kitchen cleanliness and effective stock rotation. * Assist with menu planning and food ordering as required. Requirements: * Previous experience working as a Chef in a care home or nursing home setting is essential. * Understanding of varied dietary requirements, allergens, and texture-modified diets. * Ability to work independently on full-day shifts and as part of a team with the Head Chef. * Minimum Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification. * A compassionate approach and commitment to enhancing the lives of older people.
