QUBA Solutions is looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations to take the reins of our operational landscape and help us scale our invoice financing business. About the Role
As Head of Operations, you will shape and execute our operational strategy, leading high-performing teams across key business service units. From client onboarding and payroll to credit control and customer experience, you'll ensure that every process is efficient, compliant, and aligned with our growth ambitions.
This is a senior leadership role where your impact will be visible and meaningful, influencing everything from risk frameworks and digital transformation to client satisfaction and team development.
What You'll Be Doing
* Operational Strategy & Leadership
· Lead daily operations across the invoice finance value chain.
· Own key KPIs (onboarding success, funding cycle times, collections, etc.).
· Develop scalable processes and strategies that align with business goals.
· Collaborate with senior leadership and advise the Board on operational performance.
* Process Optimisation & Technology Integration
· Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across workflows.
· Champion automation and digital transformation in partnership with tech teams.
· Maintain documentation and SOPs for consistency and scalability.
* Risk Management & Compliance
· Ensure adherence to UK financial regulations, AML, and compliance codes.
· Oversee operational risk management, controls, and audit readiness.
· Support credit assessments and monitor portfolio risk.
* Client Experience & Onboarding
· Design customer-centric processes that drive satisfaction and retention.
· Handle escalations and ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
· Align operational delivery with commercial goals.
* Team Leadership & Development
· Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing operations team.
· Implement training, development, and performance frameworks.
· Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
What We're Looking For
Experience
· years in senior operations leadership, ideally in invoice finance or fintech.
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage experienced professionals.
· Strong background in credit, compliance, and regulated financial services.
· Experience working with SMEs and enhancing customer journeys.
· A track record of driving process improvement and tech adoption.
Skills & Attributes
· Strategic thinker with sharp operational insight.
· Skilled in process design, automation, and risk frameworks.
· Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator.
· Strong understanding of compliance standards (FCA, AML, KYC).
· Commercially astute with strong negotiation and financial acumen.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
· Project management qualification (Six Sigma, Lean) is desirable.
· Additional certifications in operations management are a plus.
