The Role
We are looking for a proactive and engaging business development executive who seeks out and develops new business opportunities to secure pipeline for our Trade Waste business in Waterbeach. As a business, we offer waste and recycling collection services, including skip and bin hire for commercial businesses, all of which are flexible and can be tailored to individual needs. We also operate trade waste drop off facilities through our transfer stations.
This is a Monday - Friday role
Responsibilities
* Identifies new markets and customers to target.
* Works with others to develop and refine strategy for new business growth in line with financial targets.
* Works with Account Directors, Managers and Account Managers to review existing accounts, to cross sell further enhanced services and frameworks.
* Understands and analyses competitor information.
* Works cross functionally to help others to see how the wider business operates.
* Develops and delivers efficient and effective processes to facilitate new business development.
* Develop and manage key client relationships, acting as the face of Waste Treatment.
* Attends and provides updates to meetings to share information and knowledge on market sectors.
* Support, develop and drive a culture of customer centricity.
* Liaise with cross-divisional counterparts, where appropriate.
* Promotes and implements continuous improvement.
* Has in-depth understanding of industry and market.
* Able to implement and support a customer-centric approach, providing customers with exemplary solutions.
* Has a proven track record delivering and implementing in a corporate environment.
* Delivers tangible, bottom line results showing strong business/commercial acumen within a significant business unit.
* Has proven ability and commitment to lead, develop and inspire

We operate the best technology available across our four strategic sites in North Yorkshire, Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire and the Isle of Wight. Our technology includes everything from mechanical and biological treatment, traditional mass-burn energy from waste and material recycling technologies to in-vessel composting, advanced thermal treatment, innovative small-scale energy from waste and anaerobic digestion. In a single year we process 300,000 tonnes of waste that is turned into energy. This generates the same amount of energy as approximately 600 million solar panels. Similarly we recycle circa 95,000 tonnes of waste.
