Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to oversee our retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing commercial activities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive sales, enhance customer service, and ensure operational efficiency. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading a team, managing inventory, and optimizing store performance while maintaining high standards of merchandising and customer satisfaction.


Duties

* Lead and manage daily operations of the retail store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and controlling inventory levels to maximize profitability.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets while enhancing customer experience.
* Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs to foster a knowledgeable and motivated team.
* Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation and compliance with labor regulations.
* Supervise staff performance through effective coaching, mentoring, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
* Handle recruiting processes including interviewing potential candidates to build a strong team.
* Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
* Utilize retail math for pricing strategies, budgeting, and financial reporting to optimize store performance.
* Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.


Experience

* Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role within the commercial sector.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
* Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for effective communication with diverse clientele.
* Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
* Experience in merchandising, marketing strategies, and sales management.
* Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Strong time management skills to prioritize responsibilities effectively.
* A background in grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience: Not required
Employment: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM
Salary: £38,000 – £55,200 yearly
