Infrastructure Technical Architect (Contract) - On-site, Newport (South Wales)
A global IT Consultancy is looking for an Infrastructure Technical Architect to deliver hands-on technical architecture and infrastructure implementation work on a critical programme. This is a full-time, on-site contract in Newport, South Wales.

Rate: up to 625/day (inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months
Location: Newport, South Wales (100% on-site)
Clearance: Active SC and NPPV3 required
What you'll be doing
Delivering and implementing infrastructure/technical solutions end-to-end
Owning LLDs, technical documentation and DR planning
Managing and supporting infrastructure changes (incl. out-of-hours where needed)
Providing technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer
Working with stakeholders/suppliers/3rd parties to drive delivery
Essential skills & experience
Strong virtualisation experience: VMware and/or Hyper-V
Windows Server (2008+ onwards) engineering and support
Strong PowerShell scripting/automation
Azure experience (including Azure Local exposure ideal)
Solid grasp of enterprise infrastructure best practice and operational processes
Nice to have: Ansible for Windows build automation
