This is a hands-on transactional accounts assistant role supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance team in Cambridge during a busy period. You'll be working across core finance processes and helping to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting.

Description
* Process purchase invoices and match to purchase orders
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs
* Assist with bank reconciliations and cashbook maintenance
* Post journals and maintain general ledger entries
* Support month-end close and reporting activities
* Manage employee expenses and corporate card reconciliations
* Assist with VAT returns and compliance checks
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers
* Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team
Profile
* Previous experience in an accounts assistant or transactional finance role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good working knowledge of Excel and financial systems
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
* Available immediately or on a short notice period
Job Offer

* Salary up to £31,000 (pro rata)
