The Role
We are looking to recruit a Clinical Support Worker to join the Mental Health team at University Hospital Wishaw!
The successful candidate will undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or community setting.
The post-holder will be required to work without direct supervision on a regular basis, referring to the registered nurse as required.

What We'll Need You To Bring
* SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfill the requirements of continuing professional development.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
It Would Be Good If You Also Had
* Up-to-date with NHS mandatory training/evidence of core training from external organisations
* Experience of working within a healthcare setting
* Experience working with people who have mental health/health care needs
* Experience of working within a health inpatient setting
* Awareness of national and local mental health agenda
* Evidence of experience in Dementia care with associated knowledge
* Evidence of engagement in interprofessional learning opportunities, self-directed study, and peer reflection
* Motivated and committed to continuous personal development
