This welcoming and inclusive school caters for children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. As a Supply SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning, emotional development, and wellbeing. Working closely with class teachers and the wider support team, you will help deliver personalised learning activities and create a positive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with diverse special educational needs. Support students in developing confidence, communication, and independence skills. Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through patience and consistency. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure a holistic approach to learning. Adapt resources and learning materials to suit varying abilities and sensory needs. Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (school or care setting experience welcome). A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional learning needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to remain calm, positive, and flexible in a dynamic school environment. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
