Job Title: Project Delivery Manager
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
This role involves close collaboration with senior management, estimators, quantity surveyors, and buyers to manage projects from award through to completion.
The successful candidate will ensure that the pre-development and construction process is managed effectively, efficiently, and safely from concept to completion.
* Pre-Construction:
* Attend estimating handovers to ensure accurate project planning.
* Coordinate with clients to achieve their objectives.
* Appoint designers, review and approve drawings to meet project requirements.
* Develop and implement RFI schedules to facilitate smooth project progression.
* Collaborate with subcontractors to agree prices for labor and materials.
* Create detailed construction methodologies and tender programs to ensure project success.
* Review profit plans with the quantity surveyor to optimize project profitability.
* Complete material and plant requisitions for purchasing to ensure timely project progress.
* Ensure all necessary RAMS are completed and submitted to clients as required.
* Construction:
* Coordinate and manage site labor to meet project deadlines.
* Implement quality control measures to ensure high-quality workmanship.
* Build strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
* Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence.
* Develop and track construction programs to stay on schedule.
* Prepare and submit information required schedules to keep stakeholders informed.
* Manage subcontractors to ensure they meet project expectations.
* Work closely with the HBMS QS to manage costs and change control.
* Review labor, plant, and material forecasts with the QS to optimize project efficiency.
* Closely monitor snagging and defects to ensure they are resolved promptly.
About the Candidate:
* The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in roofing and cladding contracts/project management/site management.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations is essential.
* A customer-facing background with strong relationship-building skills is required.
* Familiarity with Health and Safety and Environmental safety requirements is crucial.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is essential.
* Possession of Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification is preferred.
* Hold a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
* Asbestos Awareness and IPAF certifications are desirable.
* Hold a full clean driving license.
* NVQ level 6 or equivalent in construction or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
