Servoca Nursing & Care is a leading healthcare recruitment agency within the UK providing temporary and permanent roles for Child support workers throughout the UK. We are recruiting for fun, passionate, but dedicated temporary Child Support workers to work in Islington.
Children’s Support Worker responsibilities
* Work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable children suffering from emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). You will need the ability to attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs and act as an appropriate role model.
* Work closely with children to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential while maintaining a high quality of care and support that meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of children and young people in the care of Inspirations.
* Provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment in which children/young people can feel secure and free from harm.
* Establish positive relationships with young people and offer unconditional and positive regard.
* Help young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behavior and rewarding pro-social conduct.
* Ensure that each young person’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect changing needs.
* Attend to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning, general maintenance around the home, etc.).
* Establish relationships that young people perceive as positive, warm and rewarding.
* Provide advice, assistance and support on a 1:1 basis to help young people address past and present difficulties.
* Provide emotional support at times of difficulty or stress.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Have at least 12 months experience within a professional child support work setting within the last 3 years.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* There is no requirement to drive; shifts are tailored to your availability and location.
