This is a hands-on role where you will test lasers and diagnose any issues, working within a specialist technology company that develops advanced laser systems for a wide range of industries. You will operate test stations, verify that repaired laser units function correctly, and investigate issues when they fail, carrying out structured diagnostics and supporting root-cause analysis. The role also involves fibre handling and splicing, completing repairs to defined procedures, and keeping accurate records of all test results. Experience with lasers, optics, fibre optics or electronics would be an advantage, as would familiarity with oscilloscopes, power meters or multimeters. An HNC or equivalent technical qualification, or suitable hands-on industry experience, is required.
