Job Description:
We are seeking Base Maintenance Technical Supervisor to join our Heavies Engineering Team in Aberdeen. This role is responsible for maintenance planning and coordination to ensure efficient Base Maintenance aircraft throughput. The role will report directly into the Heavy Maintenance Manager and work closely with the Production Planner, Base Maintenance Check Leads and Base Maintenance Chief Engineer to plan, coordinate and escalate issues helping minimise unnecessary delays.
This is a Monday to Friday role.
This role requires a dynamic, motivated individual able to build inter-departmental relationships. They will be a key player in the delivery of on-time aircraft from Base Maintenance.
The Key Responsibilities include:
1. Review Scope of Works, establish a critical path, milestones and an overall timeline for aircraft in Base maintenance.
2. Work closely with the Production Planner to create Workpacks and execution plans.
3. Manage the Base Maintenance “Teams” handover and status platform.
4. Ensure preservation statuses are maintained for aircraft under Base Maintenance.
5. Work with Base Maintenance Check Leads to review the execution plan and track key agreed milestones.
6. Ensure any deviations from agreed milestones are highlighted to the Chief Engineer and relevant stakeholders.
7. Work with Production Planner and Chief Engineer to monitor day-to-day manpower allocation and document deficiencies.
8. Assist to identify critical issues that may affect delivery of planned aircraft.
9. Assist Base Maintenance Check Leads at critical stages of the check to streamline aircraft throughput.
10. Maintain oversight of technical queries within Base Maintenance and supporting Check Leads to ensure timely resolution.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: (minimum education requirements, key skills and experience)
Qualifications:
11. UK or EASA Cat C licence holder.
12. Experienced with planning and executing Base Maintenance inspections.
13. Familiar with MS 365, and skilled with Teams and Excel.
14. Proven supervisory experience.
15. Good interpersonal skills.
Experience:
16. Relevant experience and time on helicopters.
