Within the Transport Hub, we provide vital connections into the public transport network across the county to help people go about their daily lives, including transporting thousands of children to school and providing transport for vulnerable people.
We see our job as keeping the wheels running around the county by supporting real-time passenger information at bus stops, re-routing services around roadworks, and helping the public transport network adapt to infrastructure and demand. The post holder will work as part of the Home to School team and contribute to provision of travel assistance for children and young people, including those with SEND.
Responsibilities
* Provide travel assistance for children and young people including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
* Support the Home to School Transport team in delivering a reliable transport service for vulnerable users.
* Assist with data systems and maintain accurate records; ensure timely, flexible support and meeting deadlines.
* Support communication with stakeholders and handle anticipated enquiries or complaints with tact and diplomacy.
* Assist with service adjustments such as real-time information at stops and re-routing around roadworks where needed.
Qualifications and Skills
* Attention to detail and experience of data systems
* Communication skills, tact and diplomacy
* Experience working with stakeholders
* Customer care experience (including handling of complaints)
* Ability to meet deadlines and provide flexible and timely support
