A well-established professional services firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing tax function. This role focuses on managing and delivering complex tax projects while providing high-level advisory support to clients. The successful candidate will also play a key role in reviewing work, managing workflows, and supporting the development of the wider tax team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee complex tax advisory projects, including restructures and incorporations
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans with clear timelines and deliverables
* Prepare and review comprehensive tax analysis and supporting documentation
* Ensure all work complies with current tax legislation, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
* Act as a senior point of contact for clients, providing clear and commercially focused tax advice
* Liaise with external advisers and relevant authorities as required
* Review work completed by tax advisers to ensure accuracy and best outcomes for clients
* Monitor delivery against deadlines and budgets
* Handle confidential information professionally and securely
* Identify opportunities for tax efficiency and process improvement
* Support, coach, and mentor members of the tax team
Candidate Requirements:
* CTA qualified or equivalent (or significant relevant experience)
* Strong background in UK tax within a practice environment
* Proven experience managing complex advisory work
* Confident communicator with strong client management skills
* Experience reviewing work and supporting team development
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
