Are you a recent Sports Science graduate, an experienced sports coach, or someone with a strong background in sport and physical activity? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a vibrant secondary school in Harrow that is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join their team as a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant.
This full-time role is perfect for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting before pursuing a career in teaching, coaching, or youth development. Whether you're planning to become a PE teacher or just passionate about inspiring young people through sport, this could be the ideal stepping stone.
About the Role:
As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support PE lessons and extracurricular sports clubs.
* Work closely with students to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
* Assist in classroom-based subjects when not supporting in PE.
* Support students with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
* Help manage equipment, set up activities, and contribute to lesson planning where appropriate.
* Be a positive role model and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
Requirements:
* A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., coaching, mentoring, youth work) - formal or informal.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
* A genuine passion for sport and education.
