We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our clients team in Peterhead on a temporary part-time basis. Duration: Minimum 6 weeks to begin with which may be extended if required Hours of work: 0830 - 1700 for 3 full days (Mon - Wed or Tues - Thurs) Responsibilities: Cashbook accounting – allocation of bank transactions and monthly reconciliations Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts Processing transactions (sales / journals) Closing ledgers in line with monthly timetable Balancing ledgers and reconciliation of key accounts Provide reception cover support as required Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience in a finance and office environment IT literate with experience of Microsoft office, confident in using word and excel Knowledge of Sage 200 preferred Standard financial processes and procedures Basic financial principles Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and deadlines as required Effective communication and interpersonal skills Good organisational skills with a proven ability to manage a varied workload Strong relationship building and team working skills If you are passionate about finance and eager to contribute to a growing team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity today.
