Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our thriving organisation. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that our service users receive the highest standard of care. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for those in our care, particularly those with dementia and other age-related challenges.
Duties
* Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to clients, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
* Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for clients, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
* Conduct regular assessments of clients’ health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
* Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in senior care, dementia care, and assisted living practices.
* Maintain accurate records of care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
* Engage with families and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to client care and support.
Skills
* Proven experience as a senior Care Coordinator or Deputy Care Manager
* Strong knowledge of dementia care principles and best practices is highly desirable.
* Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to interacting with clients and their families.
* Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individuals needs.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
* A commitment to continuous professional development within the field of home care and senior services.

Salary for the role will be negotiable on experience and in the region of £34,000 - £38,000 plus good benefits are career development.
