About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while feeling proud of its ethical sourcing and recommending recipes to customers. You'll bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.
Using your enthusiasm and friendliness, you'll build lasting relationships with customers, positively influencing their perception of the Waitrose brand and fostering loyalty. Your efforts will help maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the highest presentation and hygiene standards at your food counter, taking responsibility for its upkeep.
* Monitor stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open food carefully, adhering to health & safety protocols and reducing wastage.
* Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role, catering, or hospitality.
* Knowledge of current food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch as needed.
Part-time hours (up to 16 hours per week) across seven days, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
