Psychology Graduate – Learning Mentor Location: Didsbury, Manchester Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time (Initially September – December, with potential to extend) Pay: Competitive, based on experience Forever Teaching is seeking a driven and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join a supportive secondary school in Didsbury as a Learning Mentor. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in education, mental health, or youth support before pursuing further training or postgraduate study. You will work closely with pupils who face barriers to learning, including those with behavioural needs, social/emotional challenges, or special educational needs. The Role: * Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to students needing additional support * Develop positive relationships that promote self-esteem, engagement, and academic progress * Support classroom learning and behaviour in collaboration with teachers and pastoral staff * Implement strategies to improve attendance, focus, and emotional resilience * Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing What We’re Looking For: * A degree in Psychology or a related field (or due to graduate summer 2025) * A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to supporting young people * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Experience working with young people in any setting (voluntary or paid) * An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) If you're passionate about making a difference and building a career in education or mental health, we want to hear from you.
