This isnt just a picking and packing role its a critical, hands-on position at the centre of our clients logistics function.
Were looking for a proactive, detail-driven Logistics Operative to join our clients Despatch team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, youll take ownership of the full despatch process from physically preparing goods to producing controlled documentation that meets stringent regulatory standards.
What Youll Actually Be Doing
This is a fast-paced, operational role where youll be actively involved on the warehouse floor and behind the systems:
Physically picking, packing, checking and dispatching finished goods to customer requirements.
Generating and controlling despatch documentation, including: Packing slips; Customs invoices ; Certificates of Conformity; Authorised Release Certificates (Form 1s).
Ensuring all paperwork meets internal standards and relevant regulations.
Providing clear import/export clearance instructions and liaising directly with freight forwarders.
Recording all stock movements accurately within the ERP system.
Carrying out cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Identifying and quarantining non-conforming or expired product.
Working strictly in line with Health & Safety and quality procedures.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, detail-focused, and accountable for getting it right.
What Were Looking For
Essential:
Proven experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of stock control, inventory management, picking, packing and despatch.
Experience using MRP/ERP systems for receipts, moves, issues and despatch
Experience working with freight forwarders and customs processes.
High numeracy, accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of safe goods movement and general H&S practices.
Desirable:
Authorisation to release Certificates of Conformity and controlled documentation (EASA/FAA/CAA).
Knowledge of export licensing controls and ITAR.
Awareness of AS/ISO quality systems.
Experience managing Excel-based order books or work-to lists.
Cycle counting/perpetual inventory experience.
Forklift licence.
