Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – High-Profile Building – Chilton, Didcot – Up to £43,000 per annum + Package
Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a high-profile building in Chilton, Didcot. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site, delivering both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the building.
The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of the on-site team, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical plant, as well as supporting basic electrical and general building services.

Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain the mechanical plant across the site
* Carry out plumbing works, including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers
* Maintain pumps, motors, seals, and bearings
* Service and maintain AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning)
* Perform water treatment tasks, including temperature checks (no dosing)
* Carry out basic electrical duties such as lamp changes
* Complete general building fabric maintenance
* Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
* Carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
Package:
* Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
* Call-out rota: 1 in 4 (£149 per week)

Requirements:
* Mechanically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent
* Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
* Multi-skilled with basic electrical and fabric knowledge
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
