Typical Day as a Lead Support Worker
We provide cover across supported accommodation and community services during staff leave, sickness, or recruitment, ensuring customers always receive the best support.
1. Create support plans with customers and coordinate Support Workers.
2. Support people with complex needs (homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, isolation).
3. Assist with independent living tasks, budgeting, wellbeing, and activities.
4. Complete risk assessments, safeguarding, reviews, and tenancy support.
5. Engage in meaningful chats and collaboration without rushing between customers.
6. Work a mix of day and waking night shifts based on service demand.
