Due to a sustained period of growth, anew opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer within an impressive, newly revamped manufacturing business based in Redditch.
Youll be joining a hugely successful company that hires over 200 staff across the site, along with a fully established maintenance department where youll be responsible for the electrical & mechanical repairs to production machinery, electronic ancillary equipment.
This role will cover a 3 shift system Monday to Friday, to provide round the clock coverage on all production facilities.
Benefits include a salary of circa £50K including shift allowance, 33 days holiday including bank holidays, Company pension scheme, and various other benefits
Responsibilities for the maintenance engineer include -
- To provide both electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance to all machinery and equipment on site
- Reacting to urgent breakdowns, reducing machinedowntimeto a minimum
- Ensure adequate spares and parts are ordered correctly
- Following PPMs to ensure all equipment is routinely serviced and inspected
- Continuous improvement projects, upgrades and modifications to existing machinery/processes
- Supporting the maintenance manager with facilitating the in houseCMMS
To be successful in this role of maintenance engineer, were looking for-
-Previous experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer or maintenance technician
- Apprentice trained, and hold a recognized qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering
- Exposure to Automotive or high volume, fast paced production
- Be able to carry out repairs and breakdown response to capital equipment
- Understand and interpretelectrical & mechanical drawings
- Strong problem solving skills, and route cause analysis
