Head of Communications (EMEA) - GMS Agency
Location: UK / Europe (Hybrid)
The Role
GMS Agency is seeking a Head of Communications (EMEA) to lead, evolve and protect best-in-class communications programmes for some of the most respected brands in global golf.
This is a senior leadership role for a proven communications operator who knows the golf industry inside out, brings deep existing media and creator relationships, and can influence communications delivery beyond EMEA through close collaboration with global teams.
The role will sit on the Global Operating Board and play an active part in shaping how communications is delivered across key markets, while remaining primarily accountable for EMEA performance.

Core Responsibilities
· Client Leadership & Strategy (EMEA with Global Influence)
· Lead communications strategy across key EMEA client accounts.
· Act as senior counsel to clients, building trusted, long-term partnerships.
· Ensure continued delivery of best-in-class coverage across golf and non-endemic media.
· Contribute to global communications planning and support global teams where required.
Media & Creator Relations
· Lead media and creator relations across EMEA.
· Play a significant role in global media and creator relations alongside regional teams.
· Leverage established relationships with editors, journalists and creators.
· Support creator strategy and seeding on global campaigns.
Team Leadership & Development
· Lead and manage the PR and communications team across EMEA.
· Coach teams on pitching, storytelling and media engagement.
· Develop account executives and managers across accounts.
Reporting, Planning & Performance
· Set clear communications KPIs aligned to client objectives.
· Oversee planning, execution and reporting across EMEA.
· Share insights and best practice with global teams.
Senior Leadership Contribution
· Sit on the Global Operating Board.
· Assist global leadership teams on priority clients and campaigns.
· Represent GMS at key industry events.
Travel & Working Pattern
· Approximately 30 days travel per year (TBC).
· Some out-of-hours work required.

Salary: Competitive, DoE
Personal bonus up to 20% depending on performance
