Job Description
3. Lead the finance function day-to-day, from cashflow management and bank reconciliations to monthly management accounts and board reporting.
4. Take the reporting to the next level: build out management accounts, develop forecasting, and drive better insights for the leadership team.
5. Work closely with Sales to link financial performance with commercial activity, attending weekly sales and board meetings.
6. Oversee one person in finance (Finance Administrator).
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Finance should:
7. Either posses a relevant ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be qualified by experience (QBE)
8. Have experience gained in management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
9. Possess commercial awareness, with the ability to translate numbers into insight
10. Be excited by the prospect of working in a close-knit SME with a family culture
11. Have a hands-on, collaborative approach with a "roll sleeves up" attitude
What's on Offer
12. Salary circa £50,000 to £55,000 level dependent on experience
13. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
14. Flexible / hybrid working - typically 3 days in the office, 2 days from home and flex with start / finish times
15. Permanent contract with full time hours
