We are currently looking for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to work at a local Primary school in Peterborough. The role will involve working with children with a range of additional needs. You will be required to assist individual children in accessing the work set by the class teacher. These children will often struggle with emotional regulation and need the support of an adult who is calm and reassuring and can help the child feel settled, safe and motivated. You will undergo additional training courses such as Behaviour Management and Special Needs Awareness to help give you the background knowledge and head start that is needed. About the school You will be working from 8:15 - 15:30, Monday - Friday during term time. This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will have a positive mindset and be flexible and reliable in order to help ensure consistency for the pupils.
