We're partnering with a well‑established further education provider in Northampton that is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Automotive Lecturer to join their team from September2026.
Role Highlights:
* Deliver engaging theory and practical Automotive lessons to full‑time students, part‑time learners, and apprentices.
* Teach across a range of programmes from Entry Level through to Level3.
* Support students in developing industry‑relevant skills in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
* Inspire learners through hands‑on workshop delivery and real‑world automotive applications.
* Promote high standards of attendance, achievement, and learner progression.
* Contribute to curriculum development, lesson planning, assessments, and quality improvement activities.
* Support students both academically and pastorally to help them achieve their full potential.
* Participate in enrichment activities, open events, and employer engagement opportunities.
About You:
* Qualified teacher or lecturer (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
* Level3 qualification or above in Automotive or a related subject.
* Strong knowledge of light vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Experience with diagnostic equipment, electric vehicles, and modern automotive technologies.
* Knowledge of 4‑wheel alignment and current industry practices is desirable.
* Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
* Passionate about supporting and motivating learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.
