Strategy Lead – Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Strategy within the Strategy team, the Strategy Lead will help set the long-term direction for VOA, focusing on three strategic objectives: providing trusted valuations efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, and being a great workplace.
The team collaborates with policy, operations, and central functions to define and prioritize the Agency’s short, medium, and long-term goals. They analyze data to develop evidence-based strategies and solutions for complex challenges, translating these into actionable plans.
The Strategy Team is part of the broader Strategy and Transformation Group, supporting transformation initiatives and ensuring alignment across programs and projects.
Initially, the Strategy Lead will oversee the VOA’s Customer & Channel Strategy, ensuring that activities and transformation plans align with customer priorities. The role involves extensive senior stakeholder engagement and collaboration with operational, data, and communications teams.
Further responsibilities include leading broader strategic initiatives related to the Agency’s transformation and operational improvements.
Strategy Lead – Key responsibilities
The Strategy Lead will develop and support VOA strategies, translating them into design and implementation. Key duties include:
* Owning the Customer & Channel Strategy, ensuring alignment with customer priorities and stakeholder needs
* Leading strategy development, including defining ambitions, creating business cases, and conducting strategic analysis
* Supporting the transition from strategy to design and delivery, refining roadmaps, testing assumptions, and coordinating with design and operational teams
* Providing strategic input into investment cases, portfolio assessments, and business planning
* Managing stakeholder relationships to facilitate collaboration
* Building strategic capabilities within the team and across the organization
