Job Description
* Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance department.
* Prepare month end management accounts
* Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
* Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within the business.
* Monitor budgets and forecasts to ensure effective cost management.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support financial audits.
* Develop and implement efficient financial processes and controls.
* Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA), qualified by experience will be considered.
* Experience in managing a small finance team
* Experience in financial reporting and analysis within an SME.
* Knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* The ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
* An eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
