The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that the vehicles are in optimal condition for sale, diagnosing and repairing any faults, and conducting thorough inspections to meet their quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
7. Prepare vehicles for sale by conducting thorough inspections and ensuring they meet quality standards.
8. Diagnose faults with vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
9. Repair vehicles efficiently and effectively, addressing any mechanical issues.
10. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
11. Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
12. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience required:
13. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of vehicle systems, particularly HGVs.
14. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
15. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find effective solutions to mechanical problems.
16. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure the quality of repairs.
17. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
18. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
19. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
20. Valid driver's license.
21. Relevant certifications or qualifications in vehicle mechanics.
22. Previous experience working as an HGV mechanic or similar role is preferred.
23. Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
24. Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
