Overview
Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a suitably experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson - Mechanical to join the estates department. The post holder will be mechanically biased and will work as part of the estates team to deliver a comprehensive estates maintenance service, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures, and legislation across the estate portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to influence service delivery in-line with Trust values and to contribute to an outstanding healthcare environment for patients. You will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team in a busy, fast-paced environment with a diverse workload; training will be provided to develop new skills and support your personal development.
Main duties
* Undertake reactive and programmed maintenance, service, testing and inspection of complex engineering plant and equipment (such as heating and ventilation, water systems and other mechanical systems), ensuring high standards of maintenance and compliance with statutory regulations.
* Collaborate with other trades to deliver a quality service using CAFM and other specialist software systems.
* Join the out-of-hours on-call service (additional payments apply).

Person Specification
Experience
* Essential: Accredited, apprentice-trained with extensive experience in managing people and specialist technical resources.
* Desirable: Experience of working in a hospital environment.
Qualifications
* Essential: BTEC, ONC, or City & Guilds in a Mechanical discipline from an accredited training provider via a recognised apprenticeship.
* Desirable: NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
Skills
* Essential: Ability to work in accordance with various Technical Standards.
