Overview
An exciting position has become available for a Network Resilience Officer to join our small friendly team within the Highways area of the Council. The role involves dealing with Highways Emergencies and Winter gritting and Maintenance. If you have an engineering and emergency response interest, a good eye for detail and great organisation skills, then we want to hear from you! This position is an entry role, where training will be giving - you just need to bring the drive and the willingness to learn!
Responsibilities
* Organise response to County Wide emergency response on Lincolnshire's Highway Network as well as oversee maintain the County's Gritter response and assets.
* Ensure that Highways Emergency incidents are responded to by direct and instructing Maintenance gangs to undertake the work.
* Maintain the Winter gritting and decision making – this includes the Gritter fleet, Road based Weather stations, salt stocks and route management.
* Act as a first response and contact for Highways emergencies.
Qualifications
In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Disability Confident. This is an entry role; training will be provided.
