Senior Business Support Officer

The Business Support Team in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is currently looking for a Senior Business Support Officer to join them in providing business services in social care. This is an exciting time to join the Business Support Team at Achieving for Children as we have recently launched our new social care case management system, Liquidlogic.

Business Support is a central, fluid and flexible service providing support to critical statutory activities that take place on a daily basis to enable the business to function and services to be delivered. A key driver for the Business Support service is to deliver robust, resilient and efficient administrative support through the Business Support Teams which meet client expectations.

Hybrid working - Home and office working as required across Windsor and Maidenhead.

About the role

The Senior Business Support Officer will provide support to the long term social care team. Reporting to the Business Support Team Leader, you will provide competent, organised and professional support and will handle sensitive and confidential information.

In this position, you will:

2. Have excellent customer service skills - the interaction with internal and external customers is a core requirement, including routine enquiries from members of the public, receiving and responding to incoming communication
3. Carry out line management duties and supervise team members to ensure statutory tasks are carried out to a high standard and in a timely fashion
4. Have experience of using G-Suite, MS Office applications and record keeping - both manual and electronic, including confidential records, filing documents, accurately recording information and archiving files in a standard form
5. Have the ability to prepare and distribute agendas, presentations and papers and take minutes where appropriate for multi-agency meetings
6. Work flexibly to provide support to the Business Support Team Leader where necessary
7. Have some project management support experience - updating spreadsheets, research and organising communications
8. Demonstrate a passion for Achieving for Children's vision, mission and values to support children and young people to live safe, happy, healthy and successful lives

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have a commitment to providing a highly professional standard of work, together with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. This role is perfect for those who have strong administrative and technological experience to undertake a range of functions that will include: minute taking, preparing and organising business meetings, processing workflows, dealing with internal and external customers and providing a high quality customer experience. You will also be required to support digital solutions that are available for colleagues and managers to benefit from improving business support options.

You will have:

9. Advanced knowledge and experience with using G-Suite and/or MS Office applications
10. Experience in working in social care or early help, and prior experience of using a social care case management system such as Liquidlogic
11. Experience of working in a business support capacity providing a wide range of administrative support, including organising and taking minutes for high-level meetings
12. Experience in supervising a team and ensuring statutory compliance
13. The ability to keep and maintain records (in accordance with local policy) and produce accurate reports, presentations, minutes and written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people)
