About the role
Could you provide confident, compassionate leadership within a specialist mental health service for children and young people?
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is recruiting a Deputy Manager to support the delivery of safe, effective care for young people aged 018 with moderate to severe mental health needs, ADHD and ASC. This role plays an important part in ensuring children, young people and their families receive consistent support from assessment through to transition into Adult Services.
Acting at a managerial level, you will support the daytoday running of the service alongside the Operational Manager. This includes providing regular supervision to a designated group of staff, guiding professional development, contributing to service improvements, and acting as a key contact for policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Professional expertise, sound judgement and a calm, balanced approach are essential in supporting colleagues and maintaining high clinical standards.
The role also contributes to wider integrated mental health support through participation in the outofhours oncall rota for Integrated Mental Health Services, ensuring consistent access to senior leadership and decisionmaking.
