Job Description
We currently have an excellent opportunity to join the Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) as a Manufacturing Engineer (ME). As an ME within the Capability Team, you will work to deliver overhaul and repair capabilities for fleet-critical and legacy products, including activities related to the Trent 1000, 1000-TEN, XWB, 7000, and beyond.
The primary purpose of this role is to develop Manufacturing Engineering competencies and technical requirements within the EOS Engineering and Operations teams. You will guide and influence technical aspects of overhaul and repair activities, focusing on High Performance, LEAN, and continuous improvement behaviors. The role also involves incorporating standards such as IPPR, PPAP, Rolls-Royce Production System (RRPS), and Zero Defect requirements.
Additionally, the role responds to business needs to enhance and sustain overhaul and repair capabilities, develop engine manuals, and define repair processes.
This position supports EOS's strategy to ensure MRO engine delivery against customer commitments as the only wholly owned Civil Large Engine repair and overhaul facility in Rolls-Royce's global MRO network. It emphasizes innovation, continuous improvement, and compliant processes to meet customer, company, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* HSE: Ensure manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety & Environmental standards and support the Zero Harm program.
* Product Safety: Ensure manufacturing processes achieve and sustain design intent, and investigate safety issues diligently.
* Quality: Promote a culture of zero defects, reduce risks, and ensure compliance with all policies and standards.
* Technical Authority: Apply manufacturing process controls within your area, acting as MEA or PCA signatory when applicable.
* Requirements Development: Identify and develop opportunities for process and digital system improvements.
* Planning: Manage activities, schedules, resources, and costs, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
* Capability Development: Develop and improve manufacturing processes and digital systems, leveraging data for continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experiences
* Qualified Engineer (e.g., UK HND/foundation degree or equivalent)
* Recognition (e.g., UK IEng or CEng) if available
* Understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the role
* Awareness of Manufacturing Systems and software tools
* Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes
