We are working with an SME whose people are at the heart of everything they do. You will support your team with the end-to-end procurement process, and the role will grow with you, keeping you engaged and challenged.
They are a leading designer and manufacturer of electromechanical products, used in growing markets globally. With a long-standing history and a great brand reputation, they can offer you a role where you can put your stamp on it and help drive the business forward. You’ll be joining a company of less than 50 people, so your team will be a manageable size, allowing you time to spend with each team member, developing their skillset, encouraging them to be innovative, and improving collaboration across the business.
As Supply Chain & Inventory Manager, they want your help improving the on-time delivery of incoming goods and product quality. You will manage the supply chain team, ensuring materials are available to support business growth. This includes team mentorship, strategic sourcing, demand planning, and managing supplier relationships.
You will also be responsible for the following:
* Leading the purchasing and logistics teams, providing mentorship, guidance and development opportunities.
* Manage daily supply chain activities: identify material needs, negotiate prices and delivery.
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support business growth.
* Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
* Evaluate, monitor, and report on supplier performance, addressing issues as needed.
* Support inventory control during stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
The Candidate: Supply Chain & Inventory Manager
* Strong leadership skills to promote a culture of positivity and continuous improvement.
* Proven supply chain/purchasing management experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Hands-on and proactive approach
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
* A clear communicator, confident in challenging assumptions, detail-oriented, energetic, and results-driven.
