Hours: 7.5 hours per week 11:45- 13:15
Monday to Friday
Weeks: 38 Weeks per year
Pro-Rata salary: £4,537.58 p.a.
St Mark's C of E Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to support class teachers and work with a range of pupils, including working 1-1 with children with additional needs. The role also includes Midday Supervisor responsibilities to help secure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunchtime break period and assist with the dining hall duties.
Our ideal candidate will have:
· Experience working with children.
· Knowledge and understanding of how to support children and aid their development.
· An ability to deploy strategies to allow learners to engage with the curriculum creatively.
· Very good numeracy/literacy skills.
· Some knowledge and skills in ICT.
· NVQ3 Teaching Assistant Course or equivalent qualification or experience.
· Want to work as part of a hardworking, dedicated and cohesive team.
· Have a friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach.
· The ability to identify their own learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities.
· A general understanding of the curriculum and other basic learning strategies or programmes.
· Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
· Good communication skills.
· A good attention to detail; and
· A good sense of humour.
