Teaching Assistant's required - New Forest Primary School's - from January
Responsibilities
* Work in local Primary, Infant and Junior Schools in Southampton and the surrounding areas, covering daily/short term supply and long term contracts. We also support schools with permanent recruitment.
* Enable young people to develop and make progress by providing physical, emotional and nurturing support during the school day, and support the teacher in the classroom.
* Available Monday to Friday between 8.30am – 3.30pm; many client schools require consistency in the classroom, so full time is preferred.
* Build relationships with students and staff to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment where health, safety, care and welfare of young people are a priority.
* Support the classroom and students as a whole, and assist the teacher as needed. May include 1:1 support with lower level learners or children with challenging behaviours.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Strong behaviour management, confidence, motivation and good organisation. Patience, commitment and empathy are essential, with a genuine desire to help others.
* Experience in a classroom or educational setting is advantageous, but applicants with other related experience will be considered.
