REED Technology are working with a client who are seeking a passionate and organised Project Officer (Racial Justice Action) to help deliver a strategic plan focused on racial justice and equity. This is a newly created role with a powerful mandate: to turn ambition into action, and recommendations into lived change.
As Project Officer, you'll support the delivery of a multi-strand Racial Justice Action Plan. You'll work closely with colleagues across departments, support governance processes, and ensure progress is informed by robust data and accountability measures. From current-state mapping ('as is') to designing future-state solutions ('to be'), this role will help embed anti-racism and inclusion across structures, systems and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the development and implementation of a racial justice action plan aligned with national and local recommendations.
Gather, analyse, and report on data to inform decision-making and track progress.
Work with key stakeholders to map existing processes and co-design more inclusive systems.
Support effective governance, reporting and evaluation processes.
Build relationships across departments and external partners to enable action, influence change, and maintain momentum.
Provide project coordination support, including documentation, minutes, planning and monitoring.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience managing or supporting complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills.
Confidence in working with data - both qualitative and quantitative - to inform decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports and influence others.
Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, with a particular interest in racial justice.
A collaborative approach, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge of EDI practices, Equalities legislation or HR/organisational development.
An understanding of change processes in faith, voluntary or mission-driven sectors.
