The company also benefits from exceptionally low staff turnover, providing a stable and supportive environment where employees are valued and encouraged to develop their careers.Based from their North Manchester office, the successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of refurbishment projects across Manchester and Lancashire, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful commercial delivery from inception through to final account.The Company Long-established regional contractor with an excellent reputationStrong pipeline of secured refurbishment and construction projectsFinancially stable business with continued growth plansLong-serving management team and excellent staff retentionNorth Manchester office locationProjects throughout Manchester and LancashireSupportive, collaborative and professional working environmentStrong focus on quality, client relationships and repeat businessThe Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of refurbishment and improvement projects from pre-construction through to final account.Projects are varied and may include commercial refurbishments, education schemes, healthcare projects, office fit-outs, public sector upgrades and general building refurbishment works.You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully whilst maintaining robust commercial control throughout.Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of refurbishment projectsProcurement and management of subcontract packagesPreparation and administration of subcontract agreementsCost reporting, forecasting and budget controlValuation and payment of subcontractor accountsManagement of variations and change controlPreparation and agreement of final accountsIdentification and management of commercial risksLiaison with clients, consultants and operational teamsSupporting successful project delivery from inception to completionMonitoring project performance against budget and programmeProducing accurate monthly commercial reportsRequirements Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industryExperience working on refurbishment, fit-out or general contracting projectsStrong commercial awareness and contractual knowledgeExperience managing subcontract procurement and accountsAbility to manage projects independentlyExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProactive and organised approach to project deliveryFull UK driving licenceWhy Apply?
