Location: Taunton, Somerset (1 day working from home)
Hours: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Are you a qualified Financial Accountant from practice looking to transition into industry? We're working with a dynamic and expanding business based in Taunton, Somerset, seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join their friendly and sociable team.
The Role
As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
9. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
10. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations
11. Manage VAT returns and support tax planning
12. Prepare acquisition accounts and validate completion accounts
13. Submit Confirmation Statements to Companies House
14. Implement and maintain internal controls
15. Lead internal and external audits
16. Collaborate across departments to support financial strategies
What We're Looking For
17. ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
18. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles
19. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
20. High attention to detail and accuracy
21. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
22. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
