As a Senior Product Owner, you'll play a key role within Mitek's global product management team, driving the development and delivery of innovative, scalable identity verification solutions. Guided by Mitek's guiding principles — One Team, Trust, Excellence, Ambition, and Innovation — you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, UX, and commercial teams to define, develop, and release product features that enhance user experience and deliver measurable business value.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
o Define and maintain the product delivery roadmap and backlog, including working with product leadership to prioritize major client deliverables.
o Analyse customer feedback and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
o Define clear and actionable epics, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation.
o Serve as the primary driver of day-to-day product execution for major platform initiatives, including scrum team management and technology partnership.
o Monitor post-release performance and synthesize data to recommend enhancements and inform future roadmap decisions.
o Manage a large, complex cross-product backlog with competing priorities and high operational load, including alignment across multiple areas, ensuring consistency, clarity, and readiness at scale.
o Anticipate risks and proactively manage dependencies, reducing escalation and disruption of roadmap.
o Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and integration readiness.
What You Will Need (Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
o 5+ years of experience in a product owner or management role, including project coordination and stakeholder management.
o Expertise with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and the product development lifecycle.
o Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical & Professional Skills
o Effective knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar for backlog and requirement management.
o Strong understanding of APIs, software development processes, and UX principles.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
o Proficiency in written and spoken English; experience working across multiple time zones is a plus.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
o Experience with B2B or SaaS platforms.
o Exposure to working with data privacy (GDPR) or personally identifiable information (PII).
o Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, ML, or digital identity verification.
o Experience supporting mobile app or web product development.
o Understanding of product management frameworks (e.g., Pragmatic, OKRs, Lean).
